Carpenter Road Park – the cycling track

Despite busy preparing for my Kids Corner for this Sunday I still made some time to explore Hong Kong with J.

Today we took the advantage of the beautiful Autumn weather and went to ride scooter at the cycling track of Carpenter Road Park .

The cycling track here is one of the oldest built in the early years in Hong Kong. It is not designed for children but it has many different areas to practice and spin their wheels. There are some up and down slopes with various steepness, so parents can join too if they want to burn off some calories. The kids love to speed down the long slope that connects to one of the 2 smaller practice areas. The practice areas has smooth flat surfaces, one (smaller) located at the entrance of the track, the other one (slightly bigger) is located a little further down the track. They are great for kids who are not ready for the slopes and curves yet. The track has build-in road signs.
