#playwithpackagingmaterials
Today I would like to share with you an activity that I made with recycling materials only.
It is very simple and easy to make.
Equipment :
I found some cardboard from my collection of packaging materials. I cut them into the same size. I made 10 cardboard cards for the numbers 1 – 10.
Next I glued the bottle lids onto the cardboard cards, with 1 lid for the number 1 card, 2 lids for the number 2 card, and so on.
Finally I labelled the cards with numbers.
How to play:
1) Simple counting – Give your kid some pom pom (or beans / paper clips etc) and ask him or her to place the correct number of pom pom on the bottle lid while counting aloud.
2) Yes or No game – Hold up one of the cards e.g. card number 4, and ask your kid question “Is this number 5?”. If your kid finds it hard to answer the question, use the pom pom and the bottle lids to count with him.
3) Missing number game – Show your kid a few cards, e.g. number 2, 3, and 4. Ask your kid to close his / her eyes while you take one card away, and see if he knows which one is missing.
