Description
This Film Strip storyboard template is a great resource that can be used for a wide variety of activities.
Your child will love using them at home or out and about to create their own story, or write and draw about an experience or visit. For older kids, they can use the printable to retell a known story on a story map template, write a set of instructions, sequence events or use them as a planning format for their own piece of writing.
What is a storyboard?
A storyboard is series of illustrations that map our key events in a story. A storyboard is useful for organising thoughts before writing a story or recount.
I always prepare a few of my printable and put them in a plastic case that I bought from Living Plaza by Aeon (see picture below). This plastic case is light weight and has a sturdy cover. I would also bring some colouring pencils and stickers (all from Living Plaza too) and put them in the case. I give this plastic case to my son when we are waiting for the food in a restaurant or travelling around. He loves creating stories and drawing his ideas on these storyboards.
