This is a simple activity to learn sight words using foam craft sticks and pegs.
What you need:
How to make it:
How to play:
Scatter the foam sticks on the table in front of your child, and ask he / she to pick up the ones with the sight word you are teaching.
You can then give him / her the pegs and clip them on the right letters on the stick.
Alternatively you can use wooden craft sticks, but I like these foam sticks better because of their larger size, so I can write the words out much more clearer.
It worked very well with my son. He was able to say the word, spell the word, and he tried to use it to make up sentences too.
